St. Angela Parish is blessed with three choirs. We have a Children's Choir which serves primarily for school and school functions. We also have an Adult Choir which serves for Sunday masses and special liturgies. The Praise and Worship Choir leads our 5 p.m. Sunday Mass.
The Children's Choir is a service organization for St. Angela Merici schoolchildren in 3rd-7th grades. Children in the choir learn what it means to sing from their hearts to the Lord with talents that God has given them. The parish family benefits from the effectiveness that comes when we allow God to use us as His instrument for His Glory. Children's choir meets Wednesday afternoons at 3:15 p.m.
They sing for the annual Parish Caroling during the Christmas season as well as the 6:00 p.m. Christmas Vigil. The Children’s Choir performs at several off-site locations. The Children’s Choir has never failed to inspire and delight all who have been fortunate enough to hear them. If you would like information about the Children’s Choir, email Kimberly Mouledoux at lionbar13@gmail.com.
The St. Angela Merici Adult Choir is a part of the parish music ministry, and serves the church community by enhancing liturgical celebrations with music and song. Membership is open to all ages, high school through senior citizens. Everyone is invited to sing in the choir!
Weekly rehearsals are held in the church on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. except during the summer. If anyone would like to learn more about the choir, please email, Peter Weilbaecher at peterw0649@cox.net.
The Praise and Worship Choir is a new addition to our music ministry. This Choir adds to the Eucharist celebration at Mass by performing more contemporary hymns at our 5 p.m. Mass. For more information, contact Katarina Boudreaux at migonfleur@aol.com.
